The fishing is starting to heat up a bit more. Offshore there have been a fair few mackerel taking livebaits. At the lighthouse there are a few rat kings, and anglers are getting both dolphinfish and wahoo on the wave recorders and fish traps.

Inshore there has been the odd snapper morwong and a few trag getting about as well.

On the beaches and headlands there are a lot of whiting, dart, and flathead. On the headlands anglers are getting trevally, tailor and jew.

Whiting, jacks and bream are all biting in the rivers.

In the freshwater there are a few bass about as well; the rain that we had a week and a half ago has stirred things up nicely.
