Out wide there's the odd stripe being caught, and there'd be blues out with them as well both out at the shelf.

As you move in a bit closer there are a lot of dollies around the FADs, wave recorders and fish traps. Around the Lighthouse anglers are getting a lot of kingies and the odd snapper in the wash on plastics.

The inshore reefs are worth a bottom bash for a snapper, and there are also some trag and the odd pearlie with that full moon.

Around the beaches and headlands we're experiencing the last of the tailor run, and they're being taken on the usual metals and pilchards. If you want to live bait there's also the odd jew, thanks to that bit of dirty water coming out of the river mouth.

In the systems there are a lot of flathead getting caught. The whiting should be starting to show up as well, taking topwater lures, yabbies and beachworms. There's a mixture of trevally in the river too.

Bass season is really kicking into gear; they're all fired up after the rain.
