Offshore: Patches of cold water have slowed down the fish but in the warmer pockets there are mackerel and some rather large kingfish. There have been a few samson turning up on the deeper reefs and the odd small black marlin.
Beaches: gutters fishing well for tailor, big bream and the odd whiting. Maybe a chance of a jewfish on the late tides this weekend.
Estuaries: Reasonable flathead in the lower ends with a few bream and whiting.
• Pedro’s tip for the week: Bundagen Wide for mackerel.
