Offshore: Southerly not too bad, seems to have moderated.
Estuary: Recent freshwater in the estuaries will certainly improve the headlands and beach gutters this weekend. Fingers crossed that the week’s large seas have got rid of the cold band of water. If this all comes together there should be a week of good fishing ahead. Snapper and kingfish will move to the inshore reefs and if the water is warm there should be good mackerel hunting along the tide liens. Beaches adjacent to the estuary mouths will fish well for bream, whiting and the odd dart with a chance of a jewfish on the lat night tide.
Estuaries should turn up a few flathead with bream and whiting as the tide pushes back.
