Offshore: The excellent run of snapper and spotted mackerel continues although this weekend could mark the last of it as water temperatures are dropping. Two intrepid anglers paddled out a Coleman canoe around Pig Island yesterday (Thurs) and had a double hook-up on 9kg snapper yesterday, which would have been interesting.
The westerlies should push the mullet on their way and good bream are already turning up in the beach gutters. Plenty of tailor and an excellent style of luderick around the rocks. Still good dart in the beach gutters but they will soon be pushed out by the salmon. Oh joy…
