4/11/05 Weekly Report

Good snapper on the deep reefs with pearl perch to 2.5k on the north-east trag grounds. Heaps of mahi mahi on anything floating with the Waverider and the FAD very well patronised at the moment by anglers and fish.
Estuaries have recovered from the latest flushing and have bream, whiting and some large flathead in the lower reaches. Bream are well upstream and are feeding on little black mussels in the gravel beds.
Beach gutters turning up whiting, a few flathead and some very nice bream and one of two small jewfish. If you’re absolutely desperate you can still find a salmon.
