Flathead have left the rivers and they’re being caught in the harbour in good numbers along with reasonable whiting and bream. Lower estuaries look like mud puddles until the tide pushes back, when a few whiting and bream have been caught.
Beach gutters producing plenty of undersized whiting and a few legal ones if you persist.
Offshore has been fairly quiet in very ordinary conditions but those who have ventured out have found snapper and pearl perch. The few mackerel which did appear have vanished as the green dirty water has moved in.
