How many salmon would you like? For those who persevere, there are some other quality fish to be found, good bream and tailor along the beaches with the odd jewfish. Two were weighed in last week around 30kg.
Estuaries fishing well at the lower ends for flathead and whiting. Also the odd good bream going in and out on the tide.
Offshore conditions have not been too kind with westerly winds but the close reefs have turned up some very nice snapper, a few cobia and for those who ventured into deeper water, some excellent pearl perch. This weekend looks like a bit of a wash-out, or should I say a blow-out.
