Offshore conditions have been a bit nasty this week but those boats that did get out caught snapper, pearl perch and kingfish. Water is warming and it’ll be good to see the last of the green toads.
Beach gutters fishing well, particularly those adjacent to the estuary mouths as the flathead move in for the summer spawn. Dart and salmon are the most prolific catches but those who persevere can also pick up some reasonable whiting, bream and the odd jew on the late night tides.
Lower estuaries producing reasonable flathead and some good bream and whiting. Still the odd school jew on any structure.
