Cold, clear water is not helping fishing at the moment but intrepid anglers are finding a few fish.
Beach gutters are turning up big tailor with plenty of salmon and the odd bream.
Lower estuary action shows the flathead season has started with a lot of small male fish waiting for the big females to appear. Reasonable whiting also about, with big bream upstream. Water is gin-clear so presentations have to be perfect. Best times dusk and dawn.
Good snapper on the inshore reefs with the outer reefs a bit sparse apart from a few pearl perch, kings and plenty of jackets.
