Down south the creeks, like Worrell and Deep, have produced bream and bass on poppers but most of them are pretty small.
Plenty of soapie jew off the beaches with some better ones to 20kg taking worms at night.
Some big kingies to 30kg on the reefs out wide. Some good reds to 8.5kg in close on plastics if you’re lucky, but most of the conversation has been on the Hot Current game comp last weekend, which produced plenty of great mahi mahi and some other good stuff. The blue water crept back in pretty fast after the local flooding and before we knew it, there was good water back on our doorstep for the 44 boats and 178 anglers A total o f 10 marlin, 5 yellowfin, 5 sharks, 30 dollies, 10 kings and a spearfish were caught. The warm water pushed south just in time for the event and blue marlin dominated the billfish captures with 8 in total.
