Weekly Report 26/10/12

Post by Tony Zann » Fri Oct 26, 2012 1:12 pm

Water temperature has risen nicely along the shore to about 19° and the shelf 22°-24° producing a flurry of activity on the weekend if the weather allows. Conditions have been testing but a few fish out there for the hardy ones – snapper on the reefs and morwong, pearl perch and trag. Good flathead on the sandy drifts just off the river mouths.
Beaches are pretty quiet but there were a few jew on the dark of the moon and should be more on the lead-up to the full. Tailor and a few bream as well.
Whiting on the sandflats in the estuaries with the flathead working their way inland and the bream are feeding at Bourke. Rain required, believe it or not.
