A few snapper on the inshore reefs now that the moon is waning and the stir-up has subsided. Kings around the lighthouse with jigs working well. Jackets out in the deeper water with trag and jew on the 40-fathom lumps if you can avoid the jackets.
Headlands for school jew on soft plastics and there are a few tailor off the deeper headlands. Drummer on bread and groper on crabs are going quite well when the sea has been flat enough.
Beaches have been a bit quiet with a few tailor, especially down around Bundagen on pillies just on dark. Squid and live worms doing OK on jewfish.
Blackfish in the estuaries at the bottom of the tide and some nice bream working upstream on the gravel beds. Look around the Bellinger railway bridge on the tide change for a school jew.
Blackfish and some good silver trevally around the marina.
