Weekly Report 18/12/13

Offshore action isn't too great. There are a few snapper and also a few spotties, which are fun on light tackle. Mahi mahi are still out there as well.

In the rivers the bream are really starting to heat up, and the bass are also firing on surface lures and spinnerbaits.

Off the rooks, the mulloway have a bit more size to them which is always good. With the calm water the blue groper have been biting as well.

Up into the hills, the trout are starting to bite on worms, Celtas and fly.

On the beaches, you're best off going late in the arvo for a few bream. If you stay into the night you might get a jew as well.

Anglers live baiting for jacks have been catching sharks as well. There are a few bull sharks and bronzies coming off the beaches too.

If you're after a feed of crabs, you'll be glad to know they're starting to fire. There haven't been too many big ones but the numbers are getting around which is good.
