We're getting warmer water and the mackerel are just about to start, along with little black marlin and a lot of little hammerheads. There are also mahi mahi about, which have been providing a lot of fun.

The snapper have gone very close inshore, and the mulloway seem to have left the estuaries and are now hugging the headlands.

Anglers fishing the estuaries are doing well on flathead and whiting, and the fishing should further improve when the tides aren't so far apart.

The beaches have been going OK. There are some mulloway in the gutters, along with flathead and whiting. Before long we can expect salmon and tailor to mix things up.

The bass have been firing really well, thanks to the massive numbers of cicadas. It's been a particularly good bass season, although more rain would be welcomed by both anglers and fish.
