After a quite a long hiatus, we’re happy to be delivering weekly reports from Coffs Harbour again.

Along the beaches, good runs of bream and whiting have been gracing anglers’ bags, and should get better as the water temperatures rise.
Tailor have started to shy off, we’re still seeing the odd 500g-1kg model, but they will thin out as the water warms.
Jewies have been touch and go, but those putting in the time and fishing on the in right swell are getting results. This weekend’s swell is looking good.

Offshore, good runs snapper are a main feature and should pick up into October. Some good models have been showing up in shallow water, around 10-25m.
Mixed in with the snapper have been kings and pearlies, which are another great addition to the table.
Out wide, the fishing has been a bit touchy, but a few stripies have been taking baits, and tuna are starting to trickle in, just in dribs and drabs.

In the rivers, runs of whiting and flathead are coming on, and some stonking flathead have been taken on lures.
Bream are still hanging around the mouth, and there’s some great models just waiting to be caught in this area.
