In the estuaries, mangrove jacks and GTs have definitely been turning on in the upper reaches. Small surface lures like Bassday Sugapens have been very successful. These same lures have also been catching plenty of whiting further down in the estuaries.

We’re seeing heaps of flatties being caught on soft plastics right up and down the estuaries.

Offshore there are still plenty of snapper around. There are also reports of kingfish and amberjack on the deeper reefs and around the washes.

There are still plenty of school jew around the headlands and along the beaches.
