Offshore: Still a few mackerel with bigger fish from the northern reefs and headlands. Cold currents are however sneaking up the coast so if you want a mackerel, get going soon. Very good snapper on the inshore reefs with a nice 5.4kg fish coming from Mullaway headlands land-based. Good pearl perch with this week’s best smashing the deep sea clubs record at 6.2kg.
Rocks and beaches: Tailor and big bream in the gutters and around the rocks. Good run of blackfish from the rocks but we need some swell to make some wash. Beaches should fish well over the weekend on the night tides.
Estuaries: good bream, whiting and flathead with whiting and bream in the lower reaches. Push back of the tide probably the best time.
