In the local rivers there's been a heap of small flatties for those throwing plastics or trolling hardbodies.
For a fix of jew, around the pylons seems to be the way to go, however the mouth of the river and along it's rock walls has seen some good jewies caught, particularly on livebaits and soft plastics.

Offshore, the mackerel are making their last run, and with the water still at around 24 degrees there is still plenty about.
With the end of the mackerel season come the beginning of the true snapper season off Coffs, and soft plastics have been a staple in this area for a few years now.
Out wide, the dollies are still hanging around the FAD, and for best results it's recommended you get up early and try to be the first boat on it for the day.

Along the beaches and headlands ,tailor have turned up on our beaches, and a few big bream have been taken off the headlands.

Up in the fresh, it's been fairly dry and quiet, but those making a trip out west can expect the Murray cod fishing to be pretty good, especially at this time of year.
