There are plenty of snapper around at the moment. Last week we got a bunch of quality pan-size fish on Gulp Nemesis from the close inshore reefs in around 10-15m of water.

There are still a few mackerel around as well, taking lures meant for snapper.

In the estuaries there are plenty of blackfish starting to spawn, taking weed and weed flies. The ocean bream have also come in, and are being caught around the river mouths.

With the moon I’d be fishing for jewfish. People are still getting good ones around the front of the rivers from the rock walls on the change of the tides, preferably at night. I prefer to use Gulp Jerkshads.

Tailor have been pretty good on the beach and off the headlands over the last few days.
