There are plenty of kings outside at the moment, being caught on stickbaits, poppers and jigs up at the island.

There are still plenty of snapper being caught on the inshore reefs early in the morning and in the afternoon on plastics and floatlining baits down a berley trail.

We're also seeing a couple of bar cod out wide on the edge of the shelf caught on baits dropped down, with a bycatch of kingies and pearlies.

Up the rivers we're starting to see plenty of flats moving around as the water starts to warm up. There are a couple of jacks in the mix as well. A few whiting are also starting to show up on the surface, with a few of the guys getting into those.

Off the headland the boys are still getting plenty of jew on plastics and bait, mainly at night.

Along with that there are the usual catches in the harbour, such as bream and tarwhine.
