Weather is wild and woolly but hopefully will settle. Bream run is finally under way with good fish along the beach gutters mixed with some large tailor, a few jewfish and the odd salmon.
Lower restuaries also turning up nice flathead and a few whiting.
Offshore is unpleasant but a few good snapper captured this week from the headlands and near reefs, including a 9.8kg fish that came from 5’ of wash off a headland.
The longliners have been killing masses of yellowfin on the shelf.
