Starting with the rivers, there's not much around in the fresh; it's too cold. You're best off sticking more towards the salt in the rivers. There are a few big bream around, and a lot of blackfish around the river mouths. The mullet are starting to run now too. You can pick up jew and tailor from the rock walls, headlands and beach gutters.

Offshore, all the pelagics are done for the year. There are a few snapper getting around though with that colder water coming in, and it's pretty clear, which brings the snapper in closer. Of course, you also have pearlies, trag etc out wide in 30-40m, taking squid and pillies rigged on paternosters. If you're fishing in 20m or less for snapper, you're better off using soft plastics.

Out at the lighthouse there are a few kingies which will take livies and jigs.
