Snapper are on the bite at the moment, and there's a heap of kingfish around the lighthouse. There are lots of pearlies and trag around that 60m mark, and snapper as well. Dolphinfish are being caught around the FADs, wave recorders and fish traps.

In the rivers there are a lot of flathead on the flats, and whiting are starting to bite on poppers. There are a few bream around but not many. Some jew are being caught on the breakwalls.

There are plenty of GTs around in the river systems, and those anglers spinning little plastics through the bust-ups are doing well.

With the heat, a lot of bass are around higher in the freshwater. We have heard of a few trout being caught, but not as many as we'd like.
