Rain stopped play last week, cold and miserable conditions kept Fisho’s indoors. Before the wet there were still good catches of Snapper and Pearl Perch off Grassy with another good run of Tuskies about. Leather Jackets are in numbers out around 80 meters. Down south Green Island is loaded with some really good Bream with a few Kings about. Off the Dot, Mowies, Snapper and the odd Trag are coming in.

Rock hoppers are getting amongst some nice Drummer, Tailor, Tarwhine and Bream off the Jail ledges down to the Lighthouse. Good reports of Jew Fish down off Hat Head were received through the week.

Big Bream continue to be caught along the Breakwall with great success using gut bait like Mullet, Chook or Blackfish gut if you can get it. There has been the odd Jewfish caught around the river mouth in pretty awful conditions. There were good catches of Flathead and Bream up around Smithtown last week with a Schoolie or two in the mix. Blackfish were a little more active after the rain through the Cut and along the Breakwall. Don’t stress if you can’t get weed we have weed flies that are working a treat.

Smoky Beach has been fishing well for Tailor but the Bream have dropped off a little. Back Beach has a few Flathead on the fuller tides while around the Boulders on Main Beach you should find a bream or two.
