Happy holidays to all visiting our piece of paradise over the holidays. Good conditions outside and inside made for some great days on the water. Grassy Head up to Scotts fish very well for some cracker Snapper with the best weighed in around 8 kilos caught by local John Edser. There were a few Pearl Perch in the deeper water off Grassy but with not much size about them. Off the Jail another good week where Jewfish were caught with plenty Mowies and the odd Snapper landed. Fish Rock had some big Kings lurking around it with a few bust ups happening through the week. Early in the week some nice Snapper were caught on bigger plastics. The Bait grounds are holding good numbers of Slimies.

In the river Bream are being caught on dusk along the walls on the change of the tide if possible. Flathead are starting to be more active with boaties getting amongst them around Clybucca, Kinchela and up to Smithtown. There are the odd Luderick being caught off the Breakwall while a few Jewfish have been hooked at night with a live bait if possible. Jerseyville around the Bridge is fishing well for Bream and Flathead and you can pump some Nippers a little further up on the sand flats and have a crack for some good Whiting at that location.

Off the beaches Smoky and Gap are fishing well for Whiting, Dart and Bream on worms or Pipis. This is the time of the year you can find nice Sand Flathead feeding in the gutters. Main Beach is tough due to all the swimmers now but late afternoon there will be a Whiting or two around the Boulders.
