Bream, good dart and tailor with some nice tailor off Gap Beach at first light. Back beach has bream in the deeper holes with a few flathead reported. Rockhoppers are doing well with drummer on the bite, plenty of bream and the odd greenback tailor with the ledges off the lighthouse and north Gap the hot spots.
Blackfish are starting to trickle into the river, certainly not in big numbers yet but you can get feed, while the blackfish out of the Back Creek have slowed down.
There have been some good jewfish to 20kg coming out of the river over the last week. With perfect moon conditions, dirty water and live bait you should be rewarded.
Towards the end of the breakwall big bream have been coming in with the odd tailor on pilchards. Flathead are about but are getting harder to find as the water cools.
Snapper in good numbers are being caught off the northern reefs with some nice fish in about 30m from Scotts down to Grassy. Plastic baits are working well on these fish during the first few hours of daylight. Leatherjackets are starting to make an appearance while there are big morwong about. Pulling lures in close from the Jail to Green Island should get you some nice tailor. Fish Rock has been quite apart from a few small snapper.
