Weekly Report 1/3/13

We all agree we have had enough rain to last us for months. The river is still running out 24/7 and is hard to fish. Your best bet is around the Tavern to the Boatshed for some nice bream and whiting. There are a lot of eels being hooked along the walls all the way up to Jerseyville. Even though the water is dirty, most of the trees and junk has gone out. This is the time you will get jewfish out of the river with some good fish reported through the week.
The best fishing has been on the beaches with Smoky producing whiting and bream in good numbers but the run along the beach is very strong. Main Beach is fishing well for bream, whiting and the odd jewfish while Back Beach has some whiting.
Rockhoppers are doing it tough in the crappy water but this will improve over the next week or so.
No boats have ventured over the bar so sorry no reports available.
We are now an agent for Go Pro cameras with good stocks of accessories to suit. Penn has a new distributor in Australia with brand new models available so come in and have a look.
