Weekly Report 20/9/13

Post by Tony Zann » Fri Sep 20, 2013 3:13 pm

Welcome to all our holidaymakers, let’s hope the weather gods are with us for a few weeks. The outside scene has been hit and miss with some productive days and some you’re just out there for the view. Most of the action is out around the 60m mark with pearl perch, the odd snapper and morwong. There are a few trag off Grassy but not in any numbers. Fish Rock has a good number of kings but most are rats. Black Rock has had a few snapper early morning.
River fishing has been fair with some nice flathead coming in. The bit of fresh will only help with a little colour up river. Bream are about but there’s no size in them. Whiting are starting to appear in the shallows around Clybucca and Jerseyville. School jew are under the bridge around the pylons taking worms and bigger plastics. Bass are on the bite up river past Kempsey and it’s a great way to spend a few hours in the canoe casting at the snags.
Bream, tailor and whiting are off Smoky with a few big salmon while Gap beach has dart and the odd tailor.
Rockhoppers are getting a few tailor, drummer and bream off the ledges.
