Weekly Report 12/03/14

Post by Nicole Penfold » Wed Mar 12, 2014 9:32 am

We have been blessed with some great weather over the last few weeks, playing the game for the bluewater fishermen. Once again there were plenty of Mackerel about with most of the action through the week up around Grassy. Some of the Spotties were good fish up to 8 or 9 kilo while the Spanish have been around 8 to 10 kilo. Wahoo are also on the bite with some crackers amongst them. Fish Rock has some nice Kings if you can get past the Mac Tuna. Bonito are in good numbers with the odd Tailor on the troll. Black Marlin were patchy with a few caught from Scotts to Hat Head. Only one or two Cobia reported through the week.

There were some nice Bream caught in the dark hours through the week off the break wall with some cracker Whiting on worms. Good Flathead are coming in through the Cut to Stuarts Point and Clybucca. The North Wall has been producing a few Jews and some big Flathead.

Gap Beach has some nice Whiting coming in while Smoky has some big Dart, a few Tailor and Bream out of the gutters. There are plenty of Tuna, Kings and Tarwhine for the rock hoppers off the ledges.

Take care on the bars
Paul Martin
