You can’t complain about the conditions we have had over the last few weeks, and the best thing is it’s keeping those pelagic fish hungry and on the bite. Grassy Head is still producing some nice Spotted Mackerel at varying depths of water with the odd Spanish like Richard Saul’s 19 kilo unit. Zac Latham scored a classic 24.5 kilo Cobia more than likely from the Gaol Grounds. Scotts Head has had some nice Pearl Perch and Snapper coming in off the bottom. Fish Rock is a hit and miss thing with some good Kings coming in mid-week. Tuna boats were in again so forget about slimies for a week or so.

There are some cracker Bream in the river at the moment taking Mullet, Blue Bait and worms. Blackfish are starting to bite but once again the weed is hard to find. Towards the end of the Breakwall Tailor are in numbers with the odd good Flathead. Salmon are all over Port Macquarie so it won’t be long before they're testing our gear.

Monster Dart are still lurking on Smoky Beach with a few Bream in the gutters while the Rock hoppers are getting Tailor, Blackfish, Drummer and Bream.

Take care on the bars
