We finally have had a bite of winter last week but the Mackerel still continue to be caught with a few nice Spanish, Cobia and Spotted Mackerel out of the northern reefs. Snapper were in better numbers on the bottom with a few Pearlies, Sampson and Jew Fish. On the wide grounds there has been a few Cod coming up from the deep. Fish Rock is holding a few fair Kings with the odd small Snapper in close to the rock. Wider off Fish Rock plenty of Morwong and Nannygai. Tailor are on the troll in front of the Gaol taking lures.

The river is still producing some nice Bream along the walls but it does not happen in the middle of the day. The Jews were a little quite through the week with only one or two reported. At the end of the wall Tailor and Bonito have been on the bite. Flathead are being caught around the Clybucca rising tide. Smithtown and Kinchela are fishing well for lizards.

Smoky Beach has some nice Bream and Tailor with some better results off the Hat Head end of the beach. We had reports of big Whiting in small numbers on the beach through the week. Rock Hoppers were getting amongst Drummer, Tailor and Bream off the ledges from the Gaol down to Hat Head.
Take care on the bars
