We have had another productive week on the water here at the paradise of South West Rocks. Spotties were in good numbers in the 22 degrees water, locals Narelle Bunt, and young Holly Clark on her first trip out to sea boated some 5 kilo units off Grassy Head. Smaller Snapper are about with the bigger fish waiting for the cooler water. Some fair Pearl Perch 3 kilo plus have been caught out of the same area. Yellow Fin made an appearance just off Fish Rock with some Bonito, jumping on the now hard to get Mack Bait lure.

Late last week the Blackfish have started to bite with a few travellers coming in the river. Bream are in fair numbers along the break wall if you can get past the butter fish. Up river to Jerseyville pan size Flathead are about, and earlier in the week big Whiting were reported out of the shallows.

Off the rock ledges Bonito and Tailor are coming in with Bream, Drummer and Jewfish in front of the Lighthouse. Smoky Beach has Bream and Tailor out of the gutters and try the entrance to the creek on Back Beach on a run out tide for some nice Flathead.
Take care on the bars
