We had some much needed rain through the week but the wind stopped most fishermen. There were some big Trag caught off Grassy with some better quality Snapper and Pearlies with pretty well only Charters boats up for the conditions. There are still a few Tailor on the troll in front of the Gaol with Smiths Jigs doing the trick. Fish Rock has been slow with a few Small Kings about.

There are some nice Blackfish about along the walls but with green weed hard to get, weed files are really working a treat. We do have a limited supply of these left. Bream are also on the bite with a few Flathead coming in. It is still very clear in the river with a little more rain required.

Smoky Beach fished well for Bream through the week with Salmon and Tailor in the bag.

August special: all Gulps -- 3 pkts for $27, 2 pkts for $20 or $11.95 each.

Take care on the bars
Paul Martin
