Report 27/2/16

Post by Nicole Penfold » Mon Feb 29, 2016 9:56 am

We have had a horrible and tragic week here at the Rocks. We lost a fisho on our bar and our thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Early in the week Mackerel were in good numbers again off Grassy with the Sharks a nuisance all over the fish. Wahoo were in front of the Gaol taking wired up lures. There were some Black Marlin taken off the Gaol before the sea went to crap. The Kings have disappeared around fish Rock hopefully the big seas will charge things up.

The river is fishing well for Schoolies around the Jerseyville Bridge and off the north and south walls of the break wall. Flathead have been active through the Cut to Clybucca. It has been tougher to find Whiting in the river this week but the Bream numbers are healthy.
Beaches have been a hit and miss with the big swells making it hard to fish.

Take care on the Bars
