Report 23/9/16

Post by Nicole Penfold » Mon Sep 26, 2016 9:24 am

Unsettled weather over the last few weeks have kept Bluewater fisho’s mostly land based. There were a few reports from last week from the few that ventured out. If you are after a feed of Snapper try the close grounds off Grassy in around 30 meters floating a bait or a Plastic down in the current for Nobbies around the 3 kilo mark. Pearl Perch and the odd nice Tusky have been coming in as well. Rocks In Line and out at the Dot, Mowies and Snapper are about while out off the Goal Jewfish are in numbers amongst the reef bottom. Kings are in good numbers around Fish Rock mostly legal size. The FAD has been replaced after servicing so we should see some Dolly action over the next month or so.

If chasing Bass is your thing now is the time to bet amongst them. Good numbers are in the lower river system like Kinchela and Smithtown. Flathead are slowly becoming more active with some fair catches around Jerseyville in the shallow water. Bream are along the Break walls biting well on the tide changes while smaller Jews have been about off the north and south walls towards the mouth of the river. There are still quality Blackfish on the chew along the walls.
I has been a little quite off the beaches with the odd Tailor coming out of the white water, with some Bream and Whiting taking Pippis and Worms.

Take care on the bars
Paul Martin

Kind Regards
