Offshore: A poor week of weather has seen very few craft out to sea. If you could cope with a bit of swell, the trag fishing after dark has been excellent. If you want marlin action, head south and well wide of Seal Rocks.
Beaches: Small whiting and some chopper tailor are around. The northern end of Nine Mile Beach is loaded with dart. Quite a few mulloway were caught just over a week ago leading up to the last full moon.
Rocks: While the sea surface temp. charts indicate the coast is covered by a layer of cool water, those that have been surfing tell me the ocean contains puddles of warm water infested by giant bluebottles. LBG action must be close.
Estuary: Several southerly changes have confused the fish. There are reports of bream moving into the estuary along with some blackfish. Flathead are now spread throughout the lake and river systems. Mullet continue to school up in the lower part of the lake. Blue swimmer crabs are very active and this should continue as the next prawn dark is about to kick off.
