Weekly Report 9/11/07

Offshore: A poor week of weather has seen few if any boats at sea. The FAD has been deployed for summer and is at the same coordinates as last year, 32° 13.211S 152° 40.680E (WGS84 datum).
Beaches: Late last week and throughout the weekend, Tuncurry Beach provided some excellent tailor fishing. Salmon are still a nuisance. The past five days of weather have made it difficult to fish the beaches.
Rocks: Some great drummer stories have been coming from Seal Rocks but there has been little else to report.
Estuary: The Mulloway fishing from the breakwalls has been outstanding, with one guy catching three in three casts using soft plastics. Near the bridge there have been some decent size tailor, particularly at dusk. Further up the lake the whiting have been active around The Step. Flathead have been everywhere. Don't go too far up the rivers if you are targeting bream on lures.
