Weekly Report 15/5/09

Post by Tony Zann » Fri May 15, 2009 12:43 pm

Sorry about the lack of a report last week, ongoing computer problems are hopefully coming to an end.
To follow is a very brief summary of the current situation.
Outside water temp remains high with mahi mahi at the FAD, some cobia being sighted, reds on the inshore reefs after the last few days of big seas and bonito and tailor around the headlands. Throw in a few mack tuna for good measure.
Beaches and rocks are good for bream, tailor etc. Small mulloway have been a feature on beaches to our south. The whiting are not quite finished for the season.
Mulloway are again active around the breakwalls as are travelling bream that have dropped in for a visit. Blackfish activity is on the increase. Flathead are still taking lures on the first of the run-out tide.
