Estuary: A quieter week in the lake but bream are still firing. Good catches on the top of the tide using mullet gut early in the week amongst the structure near The Cut. Plenty of blackfish along the wall at Tuncurry and around the back of Boatland Marine. Kayak anglers are still landing a few good flathead at the end of Taree Street on the flats.
Rock: Not a lot of reports this week other than a few drummer and bream off Janies Corner. Further south along the shore up from Elizabeth Beach has also seen some good blackfish landed early morning.
Offshore: Plenty of trag around with a few reports of fish over 4kg (cleaned) weighed in. Small legal (30cm) snapper are everywhere but the large ones seem to have disappeared. Up North off Crowdy, reports of some good kings taking knife jigs. A few guys got a box of big leatherjackets on Wednesday out on the reefs in about 30m.
Beach: Still plenty of good tailor on most beaches taking ganged pilchards. Get amongst these before the salmon arrive and cause havoc. Bream are there but a bit patchy, but southern beaches such as Blueys has produced quality bream on dark.
