Estuary: Another cracker week in the Lake for those chasing Bream. There are plenty of quality fish out amongst the racks and are being caught using either baits or small lures. Prawn style soft plastics or the popular Cranka Crab are working a treat. I have had plenty of reports of most fish measuring in the early 30cm mark up to some larger fish topping the measuring mat at 46cm. Flathead are still lurking around and some great fish have been caught along the breakwall near the Tuncurry Kiosk however numbers are slowly declining as the cooler weather approaches. A few Leatherjackets have been caught along the back of Breckenridge Channel along the edges of the leases while a few young anglers got some thumpers off the Tuncurry Boat ramp pontoon. Plenty of Chopper Tailor under the bridge at night and are happy to chase a small 10gr or 20gr Samaki Torpedo Lure.

Rock: A good week for those chasing a few Tailor of the rocks with some good fish being caught early morning. I am hearing that LBG anglers are hitting Charlottes Head chasing Northern Blues but the reports back have been a little disappointing to previous years. A few sharks have been caught and have also caused a bit of gear breakage. Bream remain solid close to Forster.

Offshore: Mackeral remain very active up north with plenty of Spotted and Spanish to be caught. Fish still round the 10-25kg mark are common. Live Slimies are the pick of the bait. Small to medium snapper are common with some good 8kg plus fish caught this week amongst the smaller fish.Heaps of Trag on the bite and can be caught day or night. Down south on snapper reefs are few guys have also got amongst some good Jewfish. Leather jackets are starting to move in.

Beach: Bream are plentiful along most beaches most are just on legal size. Tailor are there taking pillys or metal spinners. Nice Jewfish are being caught early mornings at the back of Santa Barbara.

With School Holidays now in full swing just a reminder that we will be open every day from 8.00am till 5.00pm for all your fishing and camping needs.
