Outside the weather's been a bit nasty since about Tuesday, but before that guys were getting some kingies again at the island. There were fish up to 95cm, and quite a few of them. There are still heaps of bonito as well

Out wide had our first reports of bluefin for the season. 1 boat got a couple of smaller fish around 30-35kg, another boat got 3 ranging from around 50-69kg. A few boats also got albacore.

Inshore there are plenty of salmon on the beaaches –- just pick a gutter and you'll get sambos. In the coming week, with the high tide just on dark, it will be easy to fish the run-up tide.

When it comes to the estuaries, haven't heard much except for Wogonga. One of the guys fished Wogonga on saturday and got 70 odd fish of various types –- tailor, salmon, bream, trevally, flatties... a bit of everything. It's just a matter of finding a decent bait school and fishing around that. The fish seem to have moved up the top of the rivers around the oyster leases.
