It is fishing pretty well around here lately. There are good numbers of quality mulloway around the moment and they are very good quality fish. Try for them under the bridge, and from the Jetty, but they are best at night. There are good numbers of snapper coming from the Ripples, and from the drop off around Sylvain Beach. The flathead are really on the move at present and are best from opposite Cornets, from Buckley’s Hole, the Jetty, from under the bridge, Sandstone Point, and from Sylvain beach to Whitepatch. There are some good bream coming from the surf beaches while fishing for whiting and they are taking worms and they are quality bream. There are only a few whiting coming from the front beaches and it will be e couple of weeks before the summer whiting run but keep a look out after a southerly buster as that’s when they come in. The winter whiting are still on the go around the Cockle Banks.
