BRIBIE: Talk to Joe at Bribie Sports and Cycles. 34081347
The pros hammered the front beaches three times last week so the summer whiting have been cleaned out for the time being. There are few up the passage and there are also a few around the sand flats opposite Cornets and the Sylvain Beach sand flats. It will be a couple of weeks before any worth while whiting are taken from the beaches. There were some spotted mackerel in the passage last week as well as a few long tail tuna but I am not sure if any were taken. The winter whiting are still on the go around the Cockle Banks and the mouth of the Pearl Channel but it has been difficult to get out to them.

There have been reports of big numbers of mulloway under the Bribie Bridge so worth while giving that area a go. There good numbers of flathead around and are best from Buckley’s Hole, from the sand flats opposite Cornets, from the Bridge, from the sand flats around Sylvain Beach and from Sandstone Point. There have been reports of a few fair snapper coming from the Ripples. There are a few bream coming from the Canals but are not plentiful. The sand crabs are on the go again and are best below the bridge. There have been some reports of good quality tusk fish coming from the Bridge area. The offshore area has been impossible to fish owing to the strong winds.
