Finally the weather warmed up and managed a day on the famous Bow River, with a good friend in Bret and what a day it was lots of fish and warm weather. The fish were not too thick but very long ,they loved the Rapala minnows brown trout pattern and the little Cleo spoons. Trying to get another day end of the week so really looking forward to it.

On the home front the tailor have been on around Mud and the entrance between Straddie and Moreton also in Browns Gutter and the Rous on the last couple of reds. Whiting are still on around the yellow in the small ships channel and the snapper are getting caught on the eastern side of Green. A friend went for some squid at the entrance to Fishermans Gutter but only managed 2.

That's it for now, Calgary Stampede is calling, back in a week or so. River fishing is fine but nothing beats Moreton Bay.

Good fishing, Spero
