Things are sensational right now. We've had really good weather over the last two weeks, so people who haven't had the opportunity to head 50-100km offshore finally had the chance to get amongst it. There have been great catches of coral trout, mackerel, nannygai, red emperor and red-throat right out on the shoals. There are also a few fingermark on the close-in wrecks.

We've had a good run of banana prawns up the river so there are plenty of threadfin salmon up in the town reaches as well as barramundi. Additionally, owing to the fact that it hasn't gotten cold yet (the water temp is hovering around 21 degrees), there are still mud crabs being caught. There are plenty of flathead in the estuaries as well.
