Weekly Report 7 Mar 12

Post by Brad » Wed Mar 07, 2012 7:05 am

Leslie Dam has been a bit slow over the past week with a few Golden Perch being landed on lures. Dark Coloured Jackalls seem to be accounting for most of these at the moment. There have been a few large Cod on the move with reports of some good bust-offs. Unfortunately, none of these were landed. Soft Plastics and Spinnerbaits see to be accounting for most fish landed at Connelly Dam. Most of the fish seem to be at the southern end of the dam. There were also a few reports of some nice Silver Perch being landed on live bait.

Moogerah is still fishing quite well with some good Bass being landed on Blades, Jackalls and Soft Plastics. The fish are scattered towards the southern end, with most being landed on the points and in the timber. There have been heaps of Catfish caught on live worms. The Condamine River is slowly starting to clear up. There have been a few Goldens on the move near the “Mill” hole. The fishing in the rivers will start to improve as the water clears up. If you are in the local area, make sure you call in to Warwick Outdoors and Sports and say g’day to John and Wayne - for expert advice on all your fishing (from kids combo to tournament rigs), boating, hunting and camping requirements.
