Report 18/6/15

Post by subeditor » Thu Jun 18, 2015 12:18 pm

LESLIE DAM: The Golden Perch have been more active at Leslie over the past week, with several anglers having success on both lures and frozen bait. Most of these fish were landed in the main basin with frozen shrimps and saltwater yabbies working the best for the bait anglers. The lure anglers experienced success on metal blades, as most of the Golden Perch were holding tight to the bottom. We also received a report if a legal sized Murray Cod, with several small fish being landed as well.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam remains the same as last week. Things have been fairly quiet with the odd Silver Perch and Catfish being landed on bait.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Moogerah Dam was a little slower over the weekend. There were still some nice Bass landed but numbers weren’t huge. Anglers fishing soft plastics in the main basin had the best success. Anglers managed a few bass on spinnerbaits while fishing the edges.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River is fishing well at present with some quality Golden Perch being landed. There were several legal sized Golden Perch landed between Killarney and Warwick, with live crays working the best. We also received reports of a few fish being landed in the town area. There were a few fish landed just below Scots Weir on spinnerbaits. There were also some landed upstream of the Mill Hole on hard body lures. The Dalrymple Creek in the Goomburra area also produced a few Golden Perch on shrimps.
