Cooby Dam
Cooby has been fishing well with lots of good yellowbelly and smaller cod being caught daily along with a couple of big cod. Most anglers are fishing small ZX blades or trolling deep diving hardbodies and there has been great reports of big numbers. Areas out from main points has been best. Fishing has been best in around 20ft of water out from the yacht club has been a good marker. The Saltwater yabbies continue to dominate the catches while blood worms also work great. Just watch out for the big winds about otherwise Cooby is good to go.

Leslie Dam
I have seen more big cod caught in Leslie in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 5 years. Lots of 90cm-1m cod being caught down the dam wall end of the lake mostly casting and slow winding spinnerbaits although there has been some caught on surface lures and trolling. Early morning has been best for the cod bite but all through the day the yellowbelly and smaller cod have been on the chew on all sorts of techniques from jigging and trolling to bait fishing. The water level is very low so hard to get the bigger boats in but the fishing is good.

Cressbrook Dam
Cressy is really fired up at the moment with schools of bass off most points especially the predominant points in the main basin sitting between 20-30ft of water. Once the school is located they have been biting well. Stand out lures have been the spoons anything flashy and silver will be great. You can work these lures by cast and retrieve which is best if you have located the fish otherwise trolling works well to help find the fish. live baits have been best and the early morning- Later afternoon bite windows have been good.

Coolmunda Dam
Bit slow to get going although late this week the reports have started coming in of good numbers of yellowbelly caught in the main basin area near the dam wall and up to the boat ramp. Jigging blades and trolling hardbodies has been best while the better size fish have come casting spinnerbaits in the timbered areas. Still warming up but looking like Coolmunda should fire in the coming weeks.

Glenlyon Dam
Lots of talk about Glenlyon this week with plenty of big cod being caught. Swimbaits and spinnerbaits have worked best and the late afternoon early night bite window has been great. Jigging blades through the day in around trees has also produced some cracking yellowbelly. Saltwater yabbies have been the most popular baits and seem to be working well.

Gold Coast fishing
Inshore the flathead fishing has been really good with some big lizards caught up around Jumpinpin off Kalinga banks and working the sand banks on the incoming tide. Some good jewfish taking down around the seaway and there has been a spike in the water temp this week so the warmer weather should bring in some of the big fish like the Tuna, Marlin and dolphin fish the offshore areas.
