Cooby Dam
Some good reports coming in this last week with some good quality yellow belly being caught, trolling seems to be the best method, trolling larger lipless crankbaits such as the Jackall Doozer has been claiming multiple big fish. the northern arm and rock wall seems to be the pic of the spots, saltwater yabbies are another great option for the bait anglers.

Cressbrook Dam
Still the pick of the local dams this week with good reports coming in. A majority of the fish have been caught up the Cressbrook Creek Arm. Again Spoons and Tailspinner’s being the lure of choice, with the fish being hard on the bottom ice jigs can be very affective.

Somerset Dam
It’s that time of year where the big bass are on the bite, massive fish up too 4kg have been caught in the last week, areas such as the queen street and Kirkliegh flats have been producing a lot of big fish, also worth a look on pelican point and red rock, casting spoons and Tailspiner seems to be the pic of the lures.

Bjelkie Peterson Dam
With Spring just around the corner these fish will be starting to move up close on the edge, BP is famous for that spring time reaction bite, casting tn60’s and ½ ounce spinnerbaits. Trolling these same lures can be quite productive as well. For the bait anglers live shrimp and salt water yabbies will be your best bet.

Coolmunda Dam
With the water clarity being the best it has been in a long time the yellow belly have been on the bite. Jigging ZX blades close to the timber seems to be the pic of the lures along with saltwater yabbies and live shrimp, for the cod fisherman trolling Harbodies or heavier Spinnerbaits along the bottom has produced some small cod.

Copeton Dam
With this warmer weather hanging around there has been some great yellow belly getting caught Casting Jackall TN60’s and ZX40’s, for the cod fishing it still is the place to be, casting large swimbaits like the Jackall Gantarel and Gigantarel have been claiming a lot of fish, sometime adding chin weights can be very rewarding when fishing slightly deeper water.
